Departmental Services
The Office of Community Development (OCD) Offers Continuous Dedication to our community through coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining a centralized database of all grants and grant projects for the County. OCD also assists
the Departments and Grant Consultants in the acquisition, implementation,
and administration of grant programs.
Housing assistance programs are offered to the citizens of
HardeeCounty
.
Eligibility requirements apply to the programs offered.
First-Time Homeownership Assistance Program
This program assists low to moderate income households with the down payment and closing costs associated with purchasing a home. Homes purchased may be existing or new construction and cannot exceed $189,682. Only single-family, detached units are eligible.The applicant must be eligible to obtain a mortgage through a state certified lender.
Mobile homes do not qualify.
Housing Repair Program
This program helps low-income households with repairs to their home.
The house must be owner-occupied and be the primary residence.
It must be free of delinquent taxes, liens and/or judgments. Mobile homes do not qualify. Contact Information
