Can I apply for a permit if the property is not
homesteaded to me?

No. A licensed contractor will need to apply for the permit.

Do I need a permit to construct something that
costs less that $500?

Yes. Cost is not a factor when determining if a permit is required for construction.

Do I need a pool permit for an above ground pool?

Yes. Please consult the building department for more detailed information.

Do I need a permit to install a shed?

Yes. Engineered plans are required for building a shed.

Please understand that any information that is received through our One-Stop Permitting system will be entered into our system, which includes Code Enforcement, Building, and Zoning.

Please keep in mind that even if your proposed project does not appear to require a construction/development permit, your project is still subject to zoning and other land development regulations.

You will want to submit a Zoning and Land Use Question/Information Sheet to the Planning and Development Department prior to any commencement of construction.

Any permit that is filled out through this system will not be officially entered into the permitting process until all permit fees have been paid in full.
