The Office of Community Development (OCD)
Offers Continuous Dedication to our community through coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining a centralized database
of all grants and grant projects for the County. OCD also assists the Departments and Grant Consultants in the acquisition,
implementation, and administration of grant programs. Housing assistance programs are offered to the citizens of Hardee County.

Housing Repair Program
This program helps low-income households with repairs to their home. The house must be owner-occupied and be the primary residence. It must be free of delinquent taxes, liens and/or judgments. Mobile homes do not qualify.
First Time Home Buyer Program
Purchase assistance, to aid with closing cost and down payment, is provided to First Time Home Buyers whose household income is in the low to moderate income range.
