The County is seeking a knowledgeable, well-qualified, licensed attorney, experienced in county government laws and sunshine law for the provision of legal services as County Attorney for Hardee Board of County Commissioners.
Hardee County Board of County Commissioners is a county government agency, employing approximately 200 people, operating various divisions to include Public Safety, Utilities, Planning/Zoning, Budget and Finance, and Road & Bridge. The County oversees water and sewer utility operations, parks and recreation facilities, several public lakes and campgrounds, and provides a variety of other services. The County executes a multitude of contracts and interlocal agreements that expire, change, and may be cancelled or extended, with new contracts to be drafted, negotiated, and agreed upon.

Volunteers Needed

The Hardee County Board of County Commissioners are accepting applications for persons interested in serving on the Parks & Recreation Board, Planning & Zoning Board and Economic Development Council/Industrial Development Authority.

The Hardee County Board of County Commissioners VSP (Volunteer Service Program ) also strives to connect residents with county departments through active volunteer participation. Volunteers are vital to the success of our County and benefit by gaining a greater understanding of their local government while strengthening their community bond.

Notice of Proposed Tax Increase

The Board of County Commissioners, Hardee County, Florida has tentatively adopted a measure to increase the property tax levy.

Less reduction due to Value Adjustment Board and other assessment changes.

Vaccination Schedule at Hardee County Department of Health


Beginning Tuesday, June 1st all vaccinations will be administered at The Department of Health in Hardee County at 115 KD Revell Rd Wauchula, FL 33873.

Florida Special Needs Registry

The Florida Department of Health, in coordination with county health departments and each local emergency management agency in the state, developed a registry for persons with special needs to register with their local emergency management agency to receive assistance during a disaster. The statewide registry provides first responders with valuable information to prepare for disasters or other emergencies.

Registration can be done online through https://snr.flhealthresponse.com/

A paper form is available on our website www.hardeecounty.net/eoc.htm or by visiting Emergency Management Office at 404 W. Orange Street Wauchula, FL 33873, or Department of Health at 115 K.D. Revell Road Wauchula, FL 33873. Completed forms will need to be returned to Emergency Management or Department of Health.

Completing the registration does not automatically qualify the individual for a special needs shelter.
