Hardee County is a recipient of funds from the State of Florida through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act federal stimulus package. The funding is restricted to COVID-19 eligible expenses

Available Grants:

INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE Front Porch

  • Up to $6,000 in assistance to help cover rent/mortgage/utility payments.
  • Applicant’s household MUST have experienced a COVID-19 financial hardship, such as loss of employment or reduced workhours. Limit one application per household.
  • First Come, first-served basis.

SMALL BUSINESS ASSISTANCE
(Available October 5th)

  • Eligible businesses may receive up to $10,000 in assistance based on number of employees to help cover employee wages, vendor bills, rent/mortgage payments, personal protective equipment and other related expenses.
  • Has at least 1, but no more than 25 employees, including business owner.
  • One-time grant; first-come, first-served basis.

COMMUNITY PARTNER FOOD SECURITY/MITIGATION ASSISTANCE
(Available October 5th)

  • Up to $10,000 in assistance.
  • to help cover the purchase of food commodities, food preparation, packaging, delivery and/or distribution to persons who are self-quarantined, under a quarantine order, or to persons caring for family member with COVID-19 and/or
  • to cover expenses associated with costs related to telework capability, PPE, or physical modifications to your facility to slow the spread of COVID-19.
  • One-time grant to qualifying non-profits and religious organizations providing critical services to the community.
  • Funds are limited and will be awarded and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each program is subject to specific eligibility requirements, submission of a complete program application, including the necessary supporting documentation. Falsification of documentation will require the repayment of any funds received to the County. Commission of fraud shall be punishable by applicable law.
